Verse of the day: Love Above All Else

 1 Corinthians 13:4 – 7


    "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

Break down:
  • Love is patient and kind - It is not impatient or unkind, but patiently waits and acts with kindness.
  • Love does not envy or boast - It is not jealous of others or prideful.
  • Love is not arrogant or rude - It does not act in a proud or unkind manner.
  • Love does not insist on its own way - It is not self-seeking or demanding.
  • Love is not irritable or resentful - It does not get angry or hold grudges.
  • Love does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth - It does not take pleasure in immorality but delights in truth.


Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things - It perseveres through difficult circumstances, continues to trust, maintains hope, and patiently endures.


The main message is that true, godly love seeks the good of others, even when it's difficult or inconvenient. It is selfless, forgiving, hopeful, and steadfast. This description provides a high standard for love that Christ's followers should aspire to. As we should.

The doll lay down on the floor with its deep diamond aquatic eyes, placed on a pile of clothes as I folded them while sitting down. Something about it was deep, I thought. Until I heard someone or something step inside the room. Then I heard a mediocrely heavy door shut, thinking that it was on its own at the time without using context.
